Our roots started forming about 15 years ago as a dance crew when break dancing was the shiznit. All the cool kids were doing it. Housing and Techno was in it’s infancy in Southern California. Instead of joining gangs, beating people, and terrorizing neighbors, we form a dance crew. We had limited resources then. Being aspiring dancers in low income family didn’t help either. The one thing we had was friendship.

10 years later we branched out of dancing and be came just…….a crew. We had too many talented friends and to be called a dance crew, well, wasn’t true. We all grew up, well, some of us. Some of us met success, some didn’t, some haven’t, some won’t. The one thing we still had was friendship.

7 years ago I registered the OCBumz (Orange County Busting Unique Movez Crew) domain name to share the crew with the world. I learned the world is a really big place. Then, there was change: dance, music, school, career, and lifestyle. 4 years ago I registered the OCJuiceboyz domain name to share just the crew (without the dancing part). Then, change happened again: marriages, babies, houses. I’m not sure who coined the question/term/phrase “Is the juice worth the squeeze?” but I can’t keep up with the guys anymore.

The OCJuiceboyz is turning a new leaf and branching into something different. I’m going to juice it up, so squeeze it already!!
